60+ Clients

'Did you know that regular physical activity could delay the normal ageing process by 10-20 years?'

Tailored aerobics and muscle power and endurance building classes help older people keep strength and suppleness in their body and boost energy levels.

Regular exercise not only helps avoid injury and slow some aging processes but it also relieves the symptoms of some common chronic conditions and prevents the onset of other health problems that are the outcome of a sedentary lifestyle.

Classes have easy to follow moves and entertain with work-outs to Broadway hits, Golden Oldies and 60s and 70s tracks.

Specialist Pilates works with Cheltenham Borough Council's Health and Recreation team holding exercise classes for older clients in community centres across the district.

For clients who have difficulty exercising on their feet, specialist seated exercise classes still provide a good muscle workout and raise heart rates with beneficial results.

Exercise in Care Homes

Specialist Pilates is also available to run classes in private retirement homes. Lucy Whitehead is OTAGO trained and able to provide specific Falls Prevention classes.
